So here's the thing. I'm struggling a little, and when you're writing a humor blog, that's apparently not great news. Please do not worry, I'm ok and everyone in my family is ok.

Well, except for papa, who this week decided that he wants to take my daughter horseback riding because apparently what I need in my life is a super dangerous Christopher Reeve sport that is also Malcolm Forbes expensive. But everyone else is ok, with the possible exception of mama who is mad at me because I won't practice Russian with the children. I tried, I really did, and they asked me how to say "boring" in Russian and then they asked me how to say "Lord, Taketh Me Now" in Russian and finally, when they asked how to say "make it end, please, make it end" in Russian, I caught on and stopped.

But I've been eating a lot of Nutella, so I'm sure that things will turn around for me soon.

In the meantime, if you want a laugh, and also to help cure Ovarian Cancer, click on over to check out the very hysterical Jessica Bern as Aunt Flo.

And please don't neglect my other beloved projects, The Mouthy Housewives, where I dispense advice like Pez candy! If you want advice from yours truly or one of my sister Wives, email us at If you're feeling whiny, check out Secret Spineless Whine and while you're at it, submit your own whine at

Have a great weekend!

Nutella makes fucking everything better.

I don't normally tell you this stuff, but feel better soon. If you need a guest post, I'm your bitch. No, really, I am.

Wait, hold on. Sister wives? As in that polygamy stuff?

Hey, I'm not saying I'm against it if it means I get to stay in NYC for a while.

thanks so much for the recommendation. As far as expensive goes, just wait till they come home and ask you to buy them their own horse. Have you seen how much one pair of Jophurs costs? that is the way to misspell the name of those pants they wear to do that kind of stuff, pants that only heidi klum and mick jagger look good in

You don't have to be funny Marinka. If you don't want too. If you cant. Whatever. I'll read whatever you need to say. It's your blog honey, say or don't say anything.

Hope life gets better soon. Tons of um...chocolate kisses?

On the horses, well shit, I won't even let my kids have toy ones. Leads to ideas and I can't have them think about horses. Ever.

Thank you for reminding me that I have Nutella in my cupboard just waiting to be eaten. And I hope whatever it is you're struggling with is less of a struggle very soon.

I don't have a "humor" blog so I don't understand that qualification on my posts, but it IS ok to write about things that aren't funny. I give you my permission. You're welcome.

Hope things get better...

I hope things improve for you. I know how it is to have a lot of crap going on that you can't blog about.

Hey, I'm amazed at how you carry off being hysterical as many days as you do! Feel better.

Hang in there. At my blog I try to kind of swing schizophrenically from Humor Blog to Mommy Blog to I'm So Stressed I'm Going to Die Blog. It's a delicate balance. You should definitely be addressing this at your remedial blog school. (Hint: the secret is to mock yourself pretty mercilessly.)

Seriously though. Hang in there.

My ex has delusions of a National Velvet life for our daughter. He's been taking her riding since she was almost 3. But she likes it. And is pretty good at it.

Nutella is the very best friend a girl can have. Especially during those unending horse shows. Your kids will want to learn how to say boring in Mr. Ed language too.

I'm with you -- horseback riding is scary. Why would anyone want to hang out with creatures that tower over you and have gigantic teeth?
